Treasure Chests in Clash Royale – What’s Inside?

Treasure Chests in Clash Royale offer rewards for your participation in the game. They usually contain gold, cards and sometimes gems as well. Some chests are timed, some are earned when you win battles, and some are given by chance. You can also spend real world money to buy gems which you can then spend on buying certain chests. Some chests have a lock-in period meaning you have to wait for a certain number of hours to reap the rewards of it.

You can of course, do an instant unlock if you spend gems, which are next to impossible to earn. Although its tempting to spend gems in unlocking chests, you may want to hold back on that strategy and first gain an understanding of the different types of chests and how you can redeem them.

What’s Inside Chests in Clash Royale?

Free Chests

Free Chests are rewarded to you every 4 hours and contains gold coins, 4 cards and if you’re lucky, some gems. You don’t have to open a free chest right away as the slot can store up to 2 chests at a time. Notice that the slots turn turn yellow when they’re ready to be opened. If you still haven’t open the free chests after 4+4 hours, the timer will be stopped until you collect at least 1 chest. The cards available in these free chests vary depending on the arena you are playing. The higher the ranking you have in your arena, the better are your chances of collecting cool stuff from the free chest.

The better your rank, the better the stuff you pick up.

Silver Chests

It take three hours to open from the moment you unlock them or you could spend 18 gems if you’re desperate to unlock them right away (Bad idea!). Silver chests contain (3-11) cards including common, rare, or epic cards and (20-95 ) gold coins and the rewards increase as you go higher up the arena.
