StudioPress Themes which run on the Genesis Framework always manage you get noticed, in some instances, they just take your breath away. While some of StudioPress’ recent releases such as Optimal theme, (in)SPYR Theme, Production Theme, Balance theme, and Cre8tive Burst theme were quality themes, they somehow appeared to look like one of the many themes in the StudioPress theme gallery. The last theme I remember I was genuinely excited about was the Fashionista theme and that was way back in September 2011. Although I do not buy a lot of themes, I never stop looking forward to what’s coming up next on StudioPress. And the new StudioPress Decor theme release has me excited all over again.
Snapshot of the StudioPress Decor theme
The most exciting feature of Décor is the color schemes, it doesn’t have the run of the mill colors such as red, blue, green and orange, which is , to be honest just tiresome. Instead there’s amethyst, copper, gold and silver.
The impressive sign up box in Copper color scheme.
The theme itself has been creatively designed with the each post appearing in a picture frame. The bold sign up page, the date of posting hanging over the post, the elegant widget design and use of the beautiful font Great Vibes all add up to the elegance of the theme.
The theme also includes other features such as 6 layout options, custom background, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsiveness, theme options, and threaded comments
I don’t expect everyone to be impressed with this theme as I am, as it may not be as elegant as it is now when its customized and modified to suit your project, but if you have the right project in mind, and keep the customization to a minimum, I’m sure this theme will be a great asset. What do you think?
Note: This is a child theme that will run on the Genesis Framework.

I’m an artist who works with oil paints and canvas. I want my next project to be really awesome! I just don’t know what to do! Does any body have any cool ideas as to what I could do? I don’t usually do abstract projects,
Rafal & Brian can definitely throw down some beautiful web design!
