How do I use the User Guide Template once I have downloaded it??
Open the template by double-clicking on it. Input your data in the placeholders and save it as a Word doc. That’s it.

I have downloaded the software user template and there are only .xml files in it. Am i missing something?
I thought I might see a .dot?
Hmmm.. I tested the download on a few systems with different browsers and did not have any problems with the download. It does download as a .dot file. Can you check if your Word settings are set to open templates as xml files.
