The Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with two email apps by default. The Gmail app, which lets you set up and access your Gmail messages, and the Email app, which allows you to access other types of web-based email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail, Windows Live Mail, and others. If you are looking to set up a Hotmail account on your Samsung Galaxy Tab, this guide will show the way.
How to Set Up a Hotmail Account on Your Samsung Galaxy Tab
1. On the Home screen, tap Applications.
2. Tap the Email app.
3. In the Configuration page, type your Hotmail email address and password in the respective boxes and click Next.
4. In the Set up email page, provide a name for your email account, a display name and click Done.
That’s it. You can now access your Hotmail messages on the go, on your Galaxy tab.
You can also compose and send email messages, access your Inbox, move, or delete messages, sort messages by date, sender, read/unread, and add more accounts quite easily.
You can also follow the above procedure to configure other web-based email accounts but not every web-based email account can be accessed on the Galaxy Tab. You will receive a due warning message with explanations (in most cases) on how to configure the web-based email account.
