The Sony Xperia Neo L comes with 4 inch scratch resistant touch screen, but disappoints in terms of brightness, because it gets difficult to see the smart phone elements in broad daylight.
Cameras
The Sony Xperia Neo L comes with a 5 mega pixel rear camera, with LED flash and auto focus, which looks to be an improvement over the Neo V especially in terms of quality of images. However, the camera lacks a zoom option and the absence of the shutter key is felt strongly. Video codec support is limited although 720p video recording is possible.
Games
Sony has tried to pass on the phone as a gaming device. EA Games, Get Games and Games & Apps offer some good games, but the trouble is that the 512 MB RAM does not allow for heavy gaming. Plus the games do not come pre-installed, so users just have to downloaded it themselves.
Verdict
With stiff competition in the mid-range smartphone scene, Sony would have been expected to deliver a more wholesome product. Inspite of having ICS on the box, the phone fails to deliver on a number of fronts, when compared to other devices in the identical price range. Absence of a sleek body, poor camera features, a disappointing processor, and lack of a radio, just to name a few will have users looking elsewhere.
