U.S Mobile phone operating giants T-Mobile is preparing to launch the newly announced smartphone Galaxy Note on its network on Aug 8 2012. Reliable sources confirm that Samsung will launch its 2nd generation Phablet shortly before the launch of the sixth generation of iPhone. The new arrangements are made to make the Galaxy Note available to customers that day at a price of $ 199.99 by signing a contract for two years in one of the Equipment Installment Plans of the operator. The phone is also available at the standard plans, for $ 249.99.

Galaxy Note will be sold both through operator stores and online on the website of the company. In fact, it is already there with a label of “Coming Soon” at the site.

T-Mobile Launching Galaxy Note

As the new device hits the shelves, the world’s largest Android-based smartphone will receive a software update, the company said. As of August 8, the Galaxy will receive a software update to version 4.0.3 Android / Software T879UVLG3. The update will also be available through Samsung Kies.

The mobile operator will offer the new firmware to all devices before Sept. 30. However, the company says it cannot provide specific update information about each device.

Users who do not receive the update software can upgrade their wireless devices by Samsung Kies desktop application. The Galaxy Note will be released with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 on board (T879UVLF5 software version). With the new firmware, T879UVLG3, weighing 21.8 MB, T-Mobile and Samsung offers users a number of improvements and corrections. Sources close to the Samsung have also revealed changes to the screen size (5.5 inches) and a thinner device.
