May is likely to be a lucky month for HTC as it releases not one but two of its promising smartphones in the US. The awesome HTC One X is to be launched on May 6 for $199, and if you still haven’t pre-ordered the device, you can check out HTC One S, its sibling, which is  available for $199.99 on a 2 year contract with T-Mobile along with a $50 mail-in rebate.

Users who do not want to spend more money on another smartphone may consider the Magenta Deal Days trade in offer. You are guaranteed $100 for any smartphone and $200 for an iPhone and the offer is on only until May 8, 2012.

The trade-in handsets must meet a certain minimum criteria in order to qualify. The iPhone, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Symbian 9.0+, and Android devices are eligible for trade-in. You will be required to mail in your handset, voucher, and proof of purchase (copy of UPC and receipt) within 30 days of date of purchase. And you will be mailed a  prepaid debit card within 60 days of receipt of the handset and other documentation you sent. Check other details before you trade-in your device.  While this isn’t instant cash-back, it may still save you money.
