Mobile devices today are simply a part and parcel of our life. While its usefulness outweighs its shortcomings, there are times when we wish those annoyances could be addressed. A simple case in point: battery life. While most new devices start out with a great battery life, it doesn’t take long before you’re charging up your smartphone or tablet practically every other day. And it gets even more annoying when you have to charge more than one device. The Samsung MultiCharging Wall Charger hopes to negate this annoyance by allowing users to charge up to 3 USB devices at one time. Lets take a look.
Samsung MultiCharging Wall Charger
Simply called the Samsung MultiCharging Wall Charger, this charging cable is perfect for anyone having more than one mobile device that needs to be charged frequently. For instance, if you own a smartwatch, a tablet, a smartphone or other USB based device, you may be carrying around a charging cable for each of these devices, which is a ridiculous amount of wires for anyone to make use of. Instead, you could just grab yourself Samsung’s multi-charging wall charger, which, with its 3-ended cable will make life easy for you.
This Samsung charger divides its 2A charge evenly between the devices. The charger will automatically detect the number of devices on charge and adjust the flow accordingly. That means if you are charging 2 devices instead of 3, power flows evenly between the 2 devices and if you’re charging just the one device, the entire 2A charge will flow to the single device. When 2 devices are charged simultaneously, it will result in a 1A flow each, while charging 3 devices will produce an equal charge of 667mA per device.
The charging speeds or time will also vary depending on the number of devices connected and the power source. For instance, charging through a USB port on a laptop will result in slower charge when compared to charging from a wall outlet. It is advisable to go in for a wall charger to speed up the charging, but you should already know that!
The multi charging cable is portable and is small enough to be thrown into a pocket or a purse. The device will retail at $39.99 on Samsung and other stores. We haven’t got a confirmed release date yet, but it should be out within the next month if not sooner.
