Worry Watch for iOS is an app that can be helpful in tracking those anxieties and turning it into a positive experience so that we can, in some small ways take back control of our lives. Most times we worry about things that may not even materialize in its worst form. Logging the worries and tracking them over time will help us understand why we did so in the first place and help us reconcile with what actually happened in that situation. Worry Watch hopes to helps us understand our worry patterns and hopefully learn from it so that future experiences can be handled more positively.
Worry watch has a simple clean user interface that’s easy to use. Just hit the + icon at the top of the screen to start logging in your worries. You will need to log in anything that makes you fret and worry over. You can give your worry a title, add the date when you started worrying, put in the context of the worry and finally how it turned out in the end. You have 6 categories of context to choose from including Career, Family, Finance, Health, Other and Social. You can also put in some additional notes if you want to. The more details you add, the better you can look back and understand your problem.
The bottom of the screen displays three fields Filter, Data and Settings. The Filter lets you view all your logged activities by outcome, context, date, or day. The Data screen shows the results of your worries as a line chart for the last 12 months, a bar chart that displays day long or month long trends, or a pie chart that shows the context or outcome of events.
The app keeps your data secure with its own options to lock using a passcode, so you don’t have to worry about personal information getting exposed. The app works offline and you don’t even have to worry about having an active internet connection. The app also has additional tools and customization options including the ability to set reminders, search filters and custom tags.
Overcoming anxiety is no easy task, but the first step is to have a firm mind and a positive belief that you can do it, despite that nagging thought in the back of your mind telling you otherwise. Carefully observing your behavior and outcomes will clearly indicate that most of the times, your worries have just been unfounded and eating away into time you could have otherwise spent doing happier things.
