In our family, we have many favorite artists, bands, and sports teams. We love the Georgia Bulldogs teams; my wife loves the Dave Matthews Band, and I enjoy Nickelback (and other similar bands and artists) and musicals. eventseeker allows me to search for our favorite events, artists, bands, and sports teams and follow them to see when they will be performing – even if it isn’t in my area. In my list of artists I’m following, I can see if they are currently on tour as well. Knowing that information is beneficial because I don’t have to waste my time looking for their next event if they aren’t even touring!
eventseeker App Review
An obvious positive feature of eventseeker is the ability to search events in your area. While any everyday Joe or Jane would love that, I would without a doubt suggest this event guide to travelers, people with children, and people who have recently moved to a new area. Most of the apps I have used, focused on a specific type of event (whether it be strictly family friendly, sporting, educational, and other types of events); however, eventseeker allows you to look up events in any genre, including concerts, theatre events, sporting events, cultural events, nightlife, educational, festivals and fairs, family friendly events, community type events, business and tech events, and tours. To my surprise, the events aren’t strictly in the United States; as a frequent domestic and international traveler, I was very happy to see that I could look up international evets for me to visit on my next vacation.
While finding events is great, eventseeker will provide concise information on the location you selected (if you click on the city or location in the event). As someone who doesn’t know too much about areas other than where I live, finding out more information on the locale allows me to determine if the area and event are a good fit for our family as a whole. This is also true about the event’s artist, band, sports team, and other main attraction. I do come across some artists or bands that seem interesting or have been suggested to me by friends. Through eventseeker, I can get basic information, pictures posted by them, and upcoming events for the particular person or group you have selected.
However, I can only connect to Facebook; I would like to be able to connect all my social media accounts to this app. I think in this day and age everyone has more social media accounts than just Facebook. To make it even better, a way to embed a link to your blog, website, etc. would be equally as nice.
In conclusion, there are some fantastic features in this app; however, I would add a few details and features, which I think would make this app unstoppable and a huge hit with the smartphone population. For anyone with an appropriate smartphone and who love attending the events listed above, I definitely suggest this app. It will change your outlook on finding things to do!
