HTC Desire VC : A Review
Appearance
HTC has always paid great focus to the design and appearance of its phones. HTC Desire VC seems to carry on the legacy. Compared to other Smartphones of the similar range, the thing you will surely notice is that all the other Smartphones from various developer companies are made up of plastic body. Unlike those phones, HTC Desire VC has a metallic casing that makes the device weigh around 119 grams. At the back of the phone, there is a rubber panel that gives a firm grip to the device. Apparently, Desire VC appears to be more artistic and attractive than other powerful smartphones. On the sides of the phone, there is a shining silver lining of metal with flushing screen display large enough to view images, videos and read eBooks. The phone can be easily carried in hand, pocket or a clutch. At the left side of the device, there is a microUSB port. At the right side are volume adjustment button. At the head of the phone, you will find an audio jack and power or lock button. At the bottom side, there is socket for headphone.
Display
Desire VC has a 4 inch touch screen display with 480 by 800 pixels screen resolution. The screen display bright and vivid visuals and images look fantastic. Viewing angles are good but in sunlight, there are issues with the brightness. With ICS dominating the phone, there are three touch buttons for home, back and apps.
Camera
There is a 5 MP rear camera along with LED flash that captures vivid shots even in low lights. There is no front facing camera.
Storage
There is on board storage of 4GB which can be expanded via microSD card.
Hardware/Software
HTC Desire VC is powered by a single core 1.0GHz QUALCOMM processor with just 512MB RAM. This is a minus point for Desire VC as much of the latest Android smart phones are powered by dual core processors available at the same price. The Desire VC runs an Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich operating system along with HTC’s sense UI v4.
