If you own a Mac and wish to share your Mac screen with another Mac user, you don;t need to install another app to do it. Just follow the simple steps outlined below to share your Mac screen using the Messages app.
How to Share your Mac Screen with Messages App
To share your Mac’s screen, or request access to someone else’s screen, just follow these steps:
1. Launch the Messages app on your Mac and find the contact you want to share your screen with. Ensure that chat is selected.
2. In the top navigation, click on Buddies.
3. Choose Invite to Share My Screen or Ask to Share Screen, whichever option you want.
The person on the other end will get a request that they will have to accept.
That’s it.
If the screen sharing fails or does not go through to the contact, cancel the procedure and try again.
