Smartphones and tablets are great pieces of technology. There is no doubt about their efficiency and usefulness when you are on the go. Photo fanatics may slightly disagree, because when it comes to taking really awesome photos, the smartphones and tablets of today may still fall short of what a camera can do. For one, taking pictures in low light conditions is still a disappointment. And how about some easy control over focus and depth, or even simple thumb shots? No doubt camera phones are getting better by the day, but Sony’s going one step better with its upcoming smartphone attachable lens style camera, the DSC-QX100.
The DSC-QX100 is like a clip-on lens that makes the best of your smartphone’s high resolution screen with some top camera features such as the optics, zoom and sensor to create professional looking DSLR-quality pictures on my humble smartphone!
The DSC-QX100 Features
A Snap-On Lens
The lightweight DSC-QX100 can easily be attached to your smartphone to convert it into a professional-grade camera. It has a powerful 3.6x zoom and an optical image stabilization feature that will let you capture 20MP photos and 30p videos from your smartphone.

You can connect the DSC-QX100 to your iOS or Android device using Wi-Fi, with the help of the One touch NFC feature. That means no wires or cables are needed.
Editing and Sharing
You can instantly edit and share the images you captured with the DSC-QX100 using apps that you have on your smartphone.
