Enjoy Free Verizon Cloud on Tablets and Smartphones

May 29, 2013

Did you know that you can download Verizon Cloud from Apple’s App store and not pay anything at all for it because it is free. This app can be downloaded from the App store or it is available on Google Play for smartphones and tablets. You can even get the desktop app from the website of Verizon Wireless (verizon.wireless.com.)

Free Verizon Cloud

There are a lot of virtual storages and the latest one is Verizon Cloud released on to the market by Verizon Wireless. It is available for Apple devices and for some smartphones running the Android operation system. Verizon Cloud lets you save your photos, videos, music, contacts call logs and text messages so that you can get instant access to them anytime you want.

Device Support

Verizon Cloud works on most devices, but not all. Smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S IV, Samsung Galaxy Note II, HTC Thunderbolt, some of the Motorola Droid models are supported by the app. If you are an iPhone user your smartphone should run iOS 5 or later one because the older versions are not supported. It is also available for some of Samsung and Motorola tablets but not for iPads yet.To find if your smartphone or tablet is supported, you can check out this page.

As a Verizon subscriber you get 500 MB of free cloud storage, but you can upgrade your plans to 25GB for 2.99$, 75GB for 5.99$ or 125GB for 9.99$ if you’ve got loads of digital media you wish to stream on the go. Keep in mind these prices are on a monthly basis.

Free packages offered by other virtual storage vendors are bigger than what Verizon offers. 500 MB free is really chintzy because SkyDive gives away 7GB, and Dropbox starts charging its clients only after 2GB. Since it makes more sense not to lay all your eggs in one basket, you can diversify your storage needs by using as many cloud services as you can. Combining several of the virtual storages will also save you some money. For more online cloud storage comparisons, you can find some nice reviews here.

The truth is every company puts efforts in making its services the best ones. Operators are constantly upgrading the existing backup assistant solutions. The main advantage of Verizon Cloud is that it can store even your multimedia, text messages, call logs and contacts. Also, you can set up your Verizon Cloud backups to run on auto-pilot so that only the latest information is available on all your synced devices. The only feature that makes this app less attractive than the other ones, is in its free storage offering.

If you are a Verizon subscriber, download the Verizon Cloud app and take advantage of its services now.
