Not a Morning Person? Gadgets to Make Your Mornings More Bearable

November 7, 2012

Nobody likes to wake up in the morning, for any reason whatsoever. Who in their right sense of mind would like to give up the comfort and security of their bed after a great night of sleep? However, we live in the real world; a world that demands that we get out of bed in the mornings to work, study and indulge in other activities that society expects from us. Some of us have a much more difficult time getting out of bed than others. In fact, many people are far from what can be described as ‘morning people’. While there isn’t much that can be done about your early morning grouchiness, there are ways in which the mornings can become more bearable. Here are some top gadgets to make your mornings great, especially if you are one who refuses to budge from your bed come dawn.

Gadgets to Make Your Mornings Great!

Run Away Alarm Clock

Gadgets to Make Your Mornings Great

For the morning sloth, the snooze button is undoubtedly the greatest invention since the wheel. What we do not realize is that by constantly hitting the snooze button, you’re just making it more difficult to get out of bed. As long as the alarm clock is within reach, the snooze button will be repeatedly hit until you are finally late for work or class. However, what if the alarm clock ran away to hide right after you hit the snooze button? That is exactly what the Run Away Clock does. Manufactured by a number of different companies, the runaway alarm clocks sits pretty on your side-table until the alarm goes off. Once you hit the snooze button, the little wheels on the clock jump into action and the alarm clock races off. This is followed by you jumping off your bed, trying to chase down the clock and turn the alarm off. It is guaranteed to wake you up and energize you by being highly annoying, yet charming at the same time.

Remote Controlled Roller Blinds with Timer

It cannot be denied that roller blinds are definitely the best choice for covering bedroom windows. You can opt for the good old-fashioned drawstring roller blinds, but chances are that you probably would like to have the remote control feature. Remote controlled roller blinds have become very common and the price difference between them and their manual counterparts is almost negligible. A bonus feature of having a remote controlled roller blind is the timer function. You can pre-set the blinds to open automatically at the desired time. Once sunlight floods your bedroom, you will find it very hard to stay put in bed. It is extremely efficient when combined with the runaway alarm clock.

Coffee Maker with In-Built Timer

Nothing wakes people up like a fresh cup of hot coffee. However, how do you motivate yourself to get out of bed to make that cup of coffee in the first place? The simplest solution would be to invest in a coffee maker with an in-built clock and timer. Simply set up the coffee maker before going to sleep at night and the coffee starts brewing at the pre-selected time. Even the laziest of individuals cannot resist the aroma of coffee brewing in the morning. Plus, you probably need a refreshing cuppa after chasing the runaway alarm clock throughout the house.

Just because you have to wake up in the morning, doesn’t mean you have to like it. However, with the help of these gadgets around the house, your mornings can definitely become more bearable.
