With the explosion of social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, various social apps have hit the web, each competing to get more followers and greater accessibility to users. Privately, and TweetStork are some of which come to mind as far as Twitter is concerned. Today, I chanced upon a Twitter tool, Twylah, which simply put, beats all social media tools targeted at getting a piece of the Twitter pie. This tool is in its infancy, (beta) so you need to request for an invite from the website to be able to try it out. Check out this review to learn how you can gain followers and build your Twitter brand with Twylah.
Build Your Twitter Brand with Twylah: An Inside Look
The app has some pretty cool features that is simply hard to resist. Check out the links at the bottom of the post to get an idea of how Twylah pages look.
Displays Your Tweets in a Visually Appealing Manner
Twylah converts your tweets into a web page, with the top nav displaying categories you most often tweet about. Visitors to your Twylah page no longer have to read tweets as a stream of flowing information. They can browse through your tweets based on their category of interest in a more engaging manner. Twylah also displays photos attached to your tweets, videos, screencasts, and a brief instant preview of your tweet link’s contents.
Get Quality Backlinks for your Twylah Page
Twylah lets you send Tweets from within the application. Users who click on the shortened URL on Twitter, will be directed to a special landing page on Twylah that displays the content in a snippet view, along with related comments on that topic.
Search Older Tweets Using Keywords
You can search for older tweets from a month or week past. Your Tweets therefore don’t become irrelevant after a short period or get lost in the countless other tweets of others.
Drive Twitter Traffic Directly from your Twylah Page
You don’t have to keep switching from your Twitter page to your Twylah page. You can get all your Twitter followers to communicate with you on your very own branded page, and even follow people directly from your Twylah page. Visitors can also like pages from within your Twylah page.
Monetize Your Twylah Page
Twylah also incudes one block of space on your page where you can add your advertisement or newsletter subscriptions and increase your brand exposure.
SEO Optimized Tweets
Since your tweets are displayed on a separate page, your Tweets become SEO optimized and become more easily findable on social engines such as Google, Bing, and so others.
Display Tweets on Your Own Domain
Twylah lets you create your page on your own domain which is a nice way to get readers stay on your site longer.
More to Come…
Twylah, as I mentioned previously is in beta, but the team is working on more great features which include…
Pinning Topics You Want To Display on Your Twylah Page
Currently you do not have control over the topics that are displayed on your Twylah page, but the founder of the web app, Eric Kim says that features to give more power to the owners of the pages will be coming soon. That includes the ability to pin topics that you want to the top of your Twylah page.
Suppressing Topics You Don’t Want Displayed on Your Twylah Page
If you don’t want users to see tweets related to a particular topic, you will have the ability to suppress topics.
Getting Stats on Your Tweets and User Engagement
You will be able to get analytical information on how you engage with your Twitter followers and how your followers engage with your Twitter account as well as Twylah page. You can get information on the number of retweets, replies, clicks, and more.
Twylah’s analytics will also show what you tweet about, the timelines you tweet and how your audience engages with each of your tweet topics. For instance, if you tweet about the iPad and the Android, the analytics page will display the % of tweets related to them. For example, 80% of your tweets may be focused on the iPad compared to 20% on Android. You will also be able to view the extent to which your followers have retweeted your tweets. For instance 90% of your Android tweets may be retweeted as compared to 10% your iPad tweets. This analytics will, indirectly give you an idea, on what’s engaging your Twitter audience and what topics you should be focusing on, in this case the Android.
Conclusion
Twylah looks like a really cool web app if you are looking to create a custom landing page for your business or brand with your Twitter followers. It has some awesome features with more good things to come. If you are keen on giving it a test drive, go to Twylah.com and request an invite. If not, keep on eye on the app when it launches to the public, because this is definitely going to be big and you don’t want to miss out.
