Game Review: Get Super Human Abilities in Fox Tales: Rocket Run

July 16, 2014

With the many games that are available on the Google Play Store, it’s getting more and more difficult to find a game worth playing. There are the simple games that are too easy to master hence in a few days after installing, most users are usually bored. On the other extreme, there are those that will be too technical and very hard to use. Most users will normally give up before they learn how to play. Where does Fox Tales Rocket Run lie in this? Keep reading to find out.

Fox Tales: Rocket Run Android Review

Fox Tales is one of those games where players are given super-human abilities to do things that ordinary humans can’t do. In this case, players are given the power to strap rockets to their backs and carry them like backpacks when walking and use them for flying when there is a need for greater heights or speed. There are plenty of obstacles to dodge so you can be sure that it will be a long time before you ever get bored due to lack of new challenges. To add to the excitement, there are power-ups that you can use to make life easier for you as you try to navigate Kizu the fox through the forest.

After installation, you don’t need any special skills to play the game. You only need a few minutes to learn how to control Kizu’s rocket and you’ll be ready to break records and move mountains! Once you open the game, the first thing you’ll see is a screen that has five options. There is an option to get more coins, another that will take you to the score board where you can see the records that you have set, another that will take you to the workshop for upgrades, another one that will give you the chance to replay recorded videos and a final one to start the game. The rest is simple and straightforward. It has no issues when played on touchscreens so users with such devices need not worry about this.

One of the very unique things about this game is the fact that it promotes the competitive spirit by showing you how far your friends have gone in the game. You don’t have to pause and go to the score board to see how far your friends have gone. This serves as an instant motivation to go even further so that your record can be hard to break. Its collectible power-ups also go a long way in keeping users glued to their phones because they will do all it takes to get a power-up that will enable them to cover more distance and possibly collect more coins. Some of the available power-ups include body armor, a coin magnet and a power-up that slows down time to give you more time to maneuver between the saws and other obstacles.

This game may be slow on a few lower end devices when the mobile data connection is slow. While this could be totally an issue of the data connection, (because the app runs well in Wi-Fi areas or in airplane mode) it could also have something to do with the app. Developers should look into this and try to find out where the problem is and if it can be fixed in future versions of the app. That aside, Fox Tales is one great game!
