The WoodTec Dock is an amazingly way to connect the latest technology with the beauty of Mother Nature. Five years ago, Will Salley began WoodTec Dock with the goal of reconnecting technology and the earth. WoodTec Dock products include USB sticks, iPhone docking stations, iPod docking stations, iPad docking stations, and an iPhone docking station with an additional four-port USB hub.
What Makes WoodTec Dock Special
Each WoodTec Dock is special for many reasons:
Natural
The wood in every WoodTec Dock comes from nature. Each individual stick or long is found, not cut. This ensures that all of the wood occurs naturally rather than being manipulated by humans. Then, the logs and sticks are carefully sanded and polished to enhance their natural beauty. Instead of changing the look of the wood, this process emphasizes the existing colors, patterns, and grains that naturally occur in each piece of wood.
Unique
Instead of a line of identical, cookie-cutter docking stations, each WoodTec Dock is special. Because each dock is created from a new piece of found wood, no two docks are alike. The reclaimed woods used in these docking stations include Manzanita, cedar, and redwood, among others. Each dock is created from a special piece of found wood, and the imperfections are enhanced instead of eliminated. The beauty of each dock is special in appearance, and every dock has its own story.
Up-To-Date

Each docking station is designed for a specific type of device, so whether you’ve been using the same trusty iPhone 3G for years or if you have to have the latest technology as soon as it comes out, rest assured that there is a WoodTec Dock available for your device. Or, if you have two devices that need to be charged simultaneously, you will find the dual iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 docking station or the dual iPad and iPhone docking station very convenient.
Family-Owned
Designer Will Salley, his wife Rachel, and their son Lundon live in New York’s Hudson Valley, where both Will and Rachel create wood works of art that are inspired by their surroundings and the materials available to them. Will decided to create WoodTec as a reminder of how easy it can be to forget about nature in our daily lives, especially when we are surrounded by technology. These beautiful, handmade docking stations remind us of nature even when we are holding the newest technology in our hands.
A Few Cautions
The WoodTec Docks are not designed for iPod shuffles. They also do not have chargers built into the design, so you will need to plug your device into a computer or into a wall outlet in order to charge it. The docking stations do not contain speakers. All iPad docking stations are designed to work without a case on the iPad, so be sure to remove your iPad’s case before placing the device in the docking station. The docking stations do not contain alarm clocks or timers. If you are constantly updating your technology, please be advised that the WoodTec Dock you bought for your current device may not be compatible with the next generation of that device. The most obvious solution, of course, is to buy a new WoodTec Dock that is designed to accommodate your newest device.
