Anyone who has used Instagram knows that it offers unparalleled benefits when it comes to transforming your pictures and videos into something remarkable that can be admired by the world. If you’ve been uploading all your fantastic captures on Instagram and realize that you’d like to have a copy of them on your PC, then you’ll need a tool that will help you take that backup. Instagramsaver, Save-o-gram and Free Instagram Downloader are some of the apps that are readily available, but in this post, we are going to take a look at my favorite service, Instaport.
Remember, you can also move your Instagram photos from your Android or iPhone to your PC. To do that simply open up your Instagram app and go to your profile page. Then navigate to the Options section by tapping the three vertical dots on your Android or the Cog symbol on your iPhone.
Ensure that the Save Original Photos option is turned on. Now any pictures you capture from the Instagram app will be saved on your Camera Album or Camera Roll. Now you can make a back up of your smartphone to your PC and have all your Instagram photos and videos on your PC.
How to Save Instagram Photos and Videos to your PC Using Instaport
However, a more convenient and instant option for bulk download of your Instagram pics and videos, is using a third party service like Instaport, which gives you more download options and lets you instantly grab all the necessary files in three simple steps.
1. First, head over to http://instaport.me/ and sign in with your Instagram credentials.
2. In the next step, choose your export options. You can choose to download all your photos, the last “n” number of photos, the photos you took between certain dates, photos from others that you liked, photos with specific tags, and your video captures. All you need to do is select the desired options and click Start Export.
3. All the requested files will be downloaded in a ZIP file. Depending on the number of files that you are downloading, your waiting times will vary. Once the download is complete, click the Download only button to download the files onto your PC. You can also make a contribution to the developer and download the files by clicking the Donate & Download button.
All your Instagram pictures will now be saved as JPEG files and you can browse through them on your PC at your own convenience.
Don’t forget to finally log out of Instaport!
