Soccer games have invaded the iOS devices a few years back, many of them providing rich graphics and PC style game play on handheld devices. But very few of those games were able to create the pure and unadulterated fun that hooks a gamer to his device for hours. Now Planet Toccer has come up with a fun alternative, a soccer game held in a parallel galaxy. Space Sports has all the fun and excitement of a soccer game with some ingenious tweaks for hours of fun.
Space Sports Game Review
This game takes place in the fiction ZaZa galaxy where the Goaly Moley soccer championship is held. As a player, you battle against funny intergalactic mole like creatures and try to score goals against your main rival, Madu the monster. It is a level based game where you constantly level up based on your scores and those scores are featured over a global high score list.
The first look at Space Sports Goaly Moley reveals the crisp 3D graphics and fluid controls, the developers claim to have built inside the game’s engine. You can choose a player and rename him. There is also provision for changing your player’s jersey color, facial and body complexion and his looks. On high resolution devices like iPhone5 and the iPads, Goaly Moley is nothing short of a treat to watch and play.
We must also mention the team behind this Space Sports game. Former animators and directors from popular Dreamworks Animation have spearheaded the design and graphics team of the game. A former senior visual effects director of Sony Imageworks has polished the visual effects of Goaly Moley. And lastly, former lead game designers of EA Sports and Activision are behind the gameplay of this game. Going by the pedigree of its development team, this game is expected to blow peoples’ mind with its looks, feel and performance and Goaly Moley does deliver on all counts.

Another fun and interesting fact for sports fan is that the developers are providing real life tickets to finals of mega sporting events to the champions of Goaly Moley championships. The first ever championship is starting from 15th April, 2013 and the winner will get two all expenses paid trip to London for the U.E.F.A. Champions League, finals to be held on 25th May, 2013. Developers have planned many more such bonuses like tickets to the NBA Finals, Superbowl, Nascar Finals, Monaco GrandPrix and other big sporting events.
One of the very few problems with this game is its sluggish performance on lower end devices. The game takes an age to load on older iPhone 3GS and the controls are a bit on the slower side. Also some devices like iPod touch have problems with the game crashing randomly. Hopefully with newer updates, these issues will be taken care of by the developers.
So that is all about it. Oh and by the way, this game is free to download. So get your Space Sports have blast of a time.
