If you do a lot of online research and download images or bookmark articles you need to reference later on, you’ll end up spending a lot of time piecing together all the different images and stories for your project. Obviously saving them to one specific location will make things easier for you, such as to OneNote or the cloud. Ballloon Chrome extension lets you save online photos and links to the cloud such as Dropbox or Google Drive at the click of a button.
Saving Images to the Cloud Using Ballloon Chrome Extension
To start using Ballloon Chrome extension, you’ll have to download and install it from here.
Once the extension is installed, click the icon in the toolbar and sign in to your Google account.
Now whenever you visit a website and want to save an image that’s on the site to Dropbox or Google Drive, hover your mouse over the image. You’ll notice a button on the upper right corner of the image that features a Dropbox and a Google Drive icon. Click either of the icons to save the image to the respective cloud storage location.
The first time you use Ballloon, you’ll have to authorize Ballloon access, but from then on, it will just be a click to save option.
Documents and links can also be saved using the right-click context menu. Just hit the Save link to option and select Google Drive or Dropbox to save to the respective platforms.
All the saved files will be available in a special “Ballloon” folder created for the purpose in Google Drive or Dropbox. You can also change the default Destination folder where your files are saved to another location by accessing the links in the cloud Settings page.
The Departures board area gives you a list of all the transfers that have taken place since you started saving files using Ballloon. You can even share the web files you added to Google Drive or Dropbox with others.
