For all you workaholics out there who don’t have the time to hit the gym, JEFIT Inc. has released a workout app that aims to help users define their own workout program. This body building fitness app for Android and iOS users is available is on the App Store, Amazon Store, and the Android market.
The app has been created based on the advice of pro body builders and fitness enthusiasts and has a ton of features that lets you track your workouts, routines, body statistics, and progress. The Home screen gives you options to use a preset exercise routine, or create your own routine for each day of the week.
JEFIT is quite a comprehensive app with over 500 workouts and exercises to build your muscles and for weight loss. When you open up the app the first time, you will need to create a user profile with the option to create only an offline account or create both an online and offline account. Next you need to enter your body stats such as height, body fat, weight, and shoulders among others. You can also set a goal to check the progress of your workouts.
The next important thing you need to do is setup your routine and schedule your workouts for each day of the week. You can create a routine by selecting a difficulty level, routine type, training frequency and so on. Once you save your routine, you can add exercises to the routine.
The coolest function is that the exercise page contains a detailed description of the exercise you have selected to perform, the equipment needed for the workout, step-by-step instructions on how to perform the exercise, and a really super cool animation card that you can install and download to your SD card that provides a visual displays of the exercise in question.
The Stats page displays the overall profile summary which contains username, weight, height, lifting stats and more. You can even upload your picture to the online account to view the progress you have made, which is visually satisfying, to say the least. The Log page displays details stats on date and time each workout was done by the user.
JEFIT has a free version which is quite an elaborate in itself. My suggestion is that you download the free version and get a hang of all the features that’s available. You could enlist the help of your gym instructor to help you set up your exercise routine, and once you’re accustomed to the app, you can go in for the Pro version which has more advanced features.
The developers of JEFIT also have user manuals for both the Android and iOS versions.
