If you want to build a new gaming computer yourself because your current computer specifications do not meet many of the requirements for the newest games. These are a list of important components you need to buy in order to assemble a new computer: a computer case, motherboard, video card, DVD drive, CPU (processor), CPU fan, ram (memory), hard drive, sound card, power supply, and operating system software.

The first important thing you should purchase is a powerful motherboard that could support all of the best parts like ram, video cards, and so on. When choosing a motherboard, there are two choices of processor you need to decide between Intel or AMD because the motherboard could only support one processor only. It is difficult to tell which is better. Some people say AMD is better for gaming, while others say Intel but it really depends on the exact CPU model.

The second thing you should buy is a computer case that the motherboard would fit in. Please take note that a good case should have plenty of cooling fans as gaming will make your computer very hot. If cooling system is not effective enough, your new shine computer could be broken within a day. Also a case should have right amount of USB slots you. Ideally, it should have 2 in the front and 6 in the back.

The third part you should consider is a power supply which should have the maximum watts available in the market (1500 watts) so it could power all of high end computer parts. If you want your new computer to be able to run a game that requires a lot of graphic like the Elder Scrolls Online as seen in this site in the future, GeForce GTX TITAN SuperClocked 6GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP is recommended. Ram should be at least DDR3 at 8 GB (24k MHz DDR3). For another components like DVD drive, sould card, and operating system, you could go for a standard one.

Assembling the computer

After getting all of the parts, you just needs to put them all together. Most of the parts really just have certain slots for them to either plug into the motherboard or the motherboard needs to plug into them. For power supply, motherboard, hard drive and DVD drive will need an additional few screws.

First, you need to screw in the power supply, motherboard, hard drive and DVD drive. Putting CPU into place the CPU and screw in the CPU fan on top of it. Then, plug the matching plugs from the motherboard to the DVD drive, GPU, hard drive, sound card and power supply, and plugg the GPU, sound card, and ram into the motherboard. After that, you should plug in the case parts like the USB slots and power switch into the right places on the motherboard.

Finally, you just need to set up the pc by turning it on and putting in the windows cd and setting it up by following the on-screen instructions.
