April saw a bunch of fun Android games hitting the Play Store. We have put together a collection of some of the games that we enjoyed playing. Fun Android Games Launched in April
XCOM Enemy Unknown
When the threat from an unknown enemy arises, Earth’s governments unite to form an elite paramilitary organization, known as XCOM. You play the commander of XCOM who must create an operational base, research alien technologies, plan combat missions, and lead your soldiers in intense battles against a terrifying alien invasion. This console and PC game hasn’t received the port treatment and therefore players can enjoy a full fledged game designed for Android. This is a graphically rich game so make sure you have at least 4GB space to play without interruption. Price: $9.99
Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition
If you remember playing Baldur’s gate on your PC all those years ago, then you’ll be delighted to see the mobile enhanced edition of the epic game on your Android. You are the hero who must recruit a team of allies to explore the far corners of the Sword Coast in search of adventure and loot. The game contains all the thrilling adventures, mysteries, and intrigues of the original but also brings in fresh expansion packs with new locations, arena fights in the Black Pits, and scours in the Cloud Peaks for a lost brother. You can also purchase extra premium content if you like. The game is epic and is available on the Play Store for $9.99.
Smash Bandits Racing
Fans of high speed racing and chasing can check out Smash Bandits Racing. This isn’t your traditional racing game though. You will be driving your fast cars along dusty towns and dirt roads in order to outrun the cops. And your aim will be to cause as much destruction and mayhem as you possibly can as you head into the fast lane. You also have the usual options to upgrade your cars into the coolest, fastest, and most destructive one on the road. Price: Free.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
This official superhero movie tie-in game has Spider Man fighting against Venom, the Green Goblin, Electro and other villains who are riding a crime wave in NYC. Expect fast paced action, crazy acrobatic fighting, aerial combats and more and unlock cool Spider-Man outfits such as Symbiote Spider-Man, Iron Spider and Ultimate Comics Spider-Man while you’re at it. If you’ve got a steady internet connection and $4.99 to spare, all the spidey action is you’re for the taking.
FarmVille 2: Country Escape
Zynga’s popular Facebook game is now available on the Android platform for you to take your farming hobby everywhere with you. You can join a Co-Op to trade and share your farm goods as well as embark on fun Farm Adventures in search of rare goods. Crafting baked goods, harvesting coastal crops, decorating your farm, nurturing farm animals, gardening by the seaside, and connecting with friends and players from around the world are some of the charming aspects of Farmville 2 and you can enjoy all the fun and sun for the price of free.
Where’s my Water? Featuring XYY
If you loved the where’s my water series from Disney, you’ll enjoy this one too. The game introduces a new character, a popular Chinese cartoon character XYY, a sheep who must reach out to his friends who are trapped in an underground city. New elements such as fire and oil are introduced in the game as is the Big Bad Wolf. Price: $099.
9 Elefants
The city of love Paris is the center stage where all the action and mystery happens in 9 Elefants. A missing professor, a time camera invention, and a mysterious sect (9 elefants)who is linked to the disappearance make for an intriguing and engaging game. You play Laura, the professor’s daughter who sets out with a cat Eustache to solve over 230 puzzles that will ultimately reveal the secret of the 9 elefants. Price: $2.99.
Dethroned Early Access
Dethroned is in beta mode on Android and you may be put off by the bugs and inconsistencies, but this is going to be an RTS you’re going to enjoy playing. In the game you command a hero, gather a band of soldiers, train them, set up your defenses and then raid enemies. There are both single and multiplayer modes available and this is a game that is best enjoyed in its finished form. One to be bookmarked. Price: Free
Mini Warriors
Mini Warriors is a fun strategy game set in Algers, which has been ravaged by battles. You must become the fearless leader who will rise and turn this city into a prosperous empire. There are over 50 different types of heroes, over 10 skill types, 200 challenges to meet and loads of global players to take on, if you are interested. Price: Free to play.
Clumsy Ninja
This poor fellow looks to have skipped Ninja training school so its up to you to use some unconventional methods to train him to become a master of his class. The game is filled with plenty of quests and missions and you can flip and tap the Ninja to show him some cool tricks as well. Although slightly repetitive the game is still worth a few good hours of fun. Clumsy Ninja is free to play.
