Nothing satisfies a tired man, or a soothes a broken heart (in my case at least), like good food. (Feel free to disagree). Finding a recipe on the world wide web is hardly a big deal. In fact, there are so many recipe sites that it’s simply hard to select one that completely satisfies you. However, last week, I discovered Gojee, an absolutely beautiful site that I simply couldn’t drag myself away from. Gojee showcases mouthwatering recipes in splendid colors making it a foodie’s paradise.
Gojee Features Mouthwatering Recipes in Splendid Colors
Gojee is a site that provides some of the best visual images of food I’ve ever seen, never mind the recipes. Gojee is unique in that it actually collates recipes from various foodie blogs and displays it in one single location. The site displays a beautiful image of a recipe with a list of ingredients included in the dish, a short description of the dish, and a link to the full recipe.
The first that you’ll need to do to access the site is sign in with your email ID and password. Once logged in, you can enjoy the mouthwatering images and recipes of food from around the world.
Gojee provides an interesting take on finding recipes. The iCrave link provides you with recipes based on an ingredient you choose. I picked chocolate and found this really yummy looking recipe.
You can also find recipes by specifying the ingredients you have in your pantry. If you don’t remember what ingredients you have in your pantry, simply link your grocery store rewards program and the site will add the ingredients you purchased to the list. Just one problem with that though, the grocery store feature currently works only with the New York grocery store chain D’Agostino. Integration with other stores will roll out in the coming days.
That’s not all. If you hate a particular food item, say broccoli, mark it on the site, and it will make sure recipes with such ingredients are never displayed.
There are also additional things that you can do like adding to favorites to view later on, sharing a favorite recipe by email, on Twitter, or via Facebook. You can also check out the food writers in a separate section called The Writers.
Gojee attempts to offer high quality recipes and has up to 50, 000 recipes in its database. It’s a fantastic site if you are tired of making the same dish repeatedly and want to try something new.
Although Gojee does have quite a large number of recipes, I wish there was more. That’s my only complaint for now.
Check out what Gojee has to offer and share your thoughts in our comments section.
