MailWise is an email app for Android that promises to show you only what you need. If distraction free Inbox is what you strive for, you’ll like the fact that the conversations in MailWise are clean text messages with no signatures, formatting and distractions to sidetrack you. Furthermore. MailWise supports a host of accounts from Hotmail, Gmail Apps, Outlook.com, AOL, Yahoo, and Microsoft Exchange and setting up your accounts barely takes a few seconds of your time. Let’s check out the many good features of MailWise which makes it (in my opinion) one of the best email app for Android.
Why MailWise is One of the Best Email App for Android
Mark Zuckerburg once famously proclaimed that the email is dead. Despite the claim, email has become a part and parcel of our daily routine. In fact, with email apps permeating our smartphones, we check our email just before we head off to bed and the first thing after we wake up. That said, not all email apps manage to make our email scanning experience a productive one. Most of us probably have a Gmail app for checking personal email, but will need to use another email app for official, particularly Exchange accounts. That’s where MailWise, I believe plays a very useful role.
MailWise is a one stop app for all your emailing solutions. you can check your Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange account, just from within the same app itself. The only downside thus far that I’ve noticed is the lack of support for POP3 accounts, but with IMAP support available, I could set up my website host email exchange account just as easily.
One of the great features about using MailWise is that if you have been previously using another email client to check all your mail, you can simply transfer them to MailWise using the Existing Account option.
Setting up an email account is as easy as following the steps in the wizard and choosing your sync options. You can also choose to view all your email in a unified Inbox or have them displayed separately. Once you’ve setup your account, you’ll get a quick walkthrough wizard showing you the basic usage of the app. You can pop into the Settings section to customize each account with your signature, color codes, quiet time notifications and such.
Repetitive email such as birthday notifications or newsletters are grouped together to make it easier for you to find such stuff only when you need it. Just as with other modern email apps for Android, you’ll notice that it features common gestures such as swiping to the left to delete your email or swiping to the right to access additional options such as favoriting, moving to junk, or marking as unread.
In all, MailWise is a beautifully designed app that works intuitively in a clutter free interface. With so many good things to like about MailWise, its simply impossible not to love this email app or call it the best email app for Android.
