New WordPress Themes Released in March 2012

In this post, I take a look at some of the new WordPress themes released this month (March 2012) from popular premium theme developers. Since there’s still 8 more days until the end of the month, I will update this post if new ones get released. This list is not exhaustive, and only includes themes that I believe are from the most popular developers. So take a look at some of these amazing releases that you may find useful for your projects.

New WordPress Themes Released in March 2012

This month sees some cool releases from Elegant Themes, Clove themes, CSSIgniter, WPZoom, StudioPress, Woo Themes, and many others. Although I do not have personal experience using many of these themes, I have worked on Theme Junkie, Woo and StudioPress and have thoroughly enjoyed the various features and functionalities that each of them offer. So here goes:

Elegant Themes

Gleam

Gleam is built to showcase your photography and portfolio. It’s stunning features include smooth ajax loading techniques, custom full BG photos for each page, and a full-screen portfolio section, among others.

Clove Themes

coBusiness

coBusiness is a professional business website that even works for bloggers or those showcasing their portfolios. The theme is search engine optimized, offers a jQuery slideshow, widgets, 2 blog templates, 3 portfolio templates, 1 full width page among others.

Portfolio

Portfolio is a clean, elegant WordPress theme that’s ideal for showcasing your products, services, or portfolio. The theme includes all of the features mentioned above and then some.

coRestaurant

coRestaurant is a restaurant styled theme suitable for websites focusing on cooking or your restaurant details.  This elegantly designed theme can mesmerize your audience with its big featured slideshow followed by three smaller featured pages. You can use the 3 menu listing templates or create custom menus using the menu template. Clover themes also offers a video guide to set up this theme.

StudioPress

This robust child theme from StudioPress is a bit funky, and is ideal for fashion and photography sites. It is responsive but remember that you will need the Genesis framework to run this theme. It features 3 styles, 6 colors, 3 layout options, and more.

Themify

Notes

This theme is a Tumblr styled responsive theme that allows you to post based on post formats such as videos, images, audio, quotes, and more. The theme features 4 footer widget columns, 7 color styles, custom widgets, 2 menu locations, theme option panel, and more.  Themify currently runs an offer where you can buy any theme and get a second one free.

Woo Themes

Drawar

This is a responsive theme designed for bloggers. After a hiatus of sorts, Woo has announced the release of a theme that is not WooCommerce oriented. The usual Woo features of a widgetized homepage, 6 color schemes, advanced sidebar manager, page templates, theme options among others are available.

TechNews

TechNews is a magazine styled, responsive theme that is ideal for delivering the latest news from the hottest categories. Other features of the theme include featured slider, widgets, custom control panel and more.

InkThemes

The Regal

The Regal theme actually comes for a number of different niches. There’s one for weddings, jewelry, interior designing, hotel, fashion, food, and more. Check out the type of niche you want before you buy. This is a responsive theme that comes in 8 color styles, features a unique home page, a gallery page, a Themes Options Panel and more. You can also try the themes before you buy.

WPZOOM

LitePress

LitePress is a responsive theme that is ideal for a news site. Its features include shortcodes, slideshow, 3 colors , custom post types, tabbed sidebar widgets,  Theme Options panel and more.

Theme Junkie

Resizable

Resizable is the first responsive WordPress theme from Theme Junkie. It is a magazine styled theme that will work great on news or blog sites. Read more about this theme review here.

WPSN

WPSN is for the sports junkie. If you want to set up a sports news site, this is one option you should consider. The theme comes with a built-in control panel, fully widgetized homepage and sidebar with drag n’ drop capabilities, and more.

ThemeWarrior

Vicarious

Vicarious is a beautiful magazine styled WordPress theme that comes with 3 color skins, WarriorPanel theme option panel, ad management, custom widgets and more.

CSSIgniter

Nico

Nico is a WordPress portfolio theme where you can showcase your creative projects using portfolio sliders, and portfolio categories. The theme also features 2 alternative layouts, multiple color schemes custom menus and more!

NYC

NYC is a Tumblr like theme designed for bloggers. You can share posts based on custom post types such as audio, video, links, images, among others. The theme features two alternative layouts, a built-in audio player, video embedding, and other top features.
