Fans of the British singer and songwriter Adele have reason to rejoice. The Official Android App for Adele is now available in the Android Market, or rather in Google Play, the newly redesigned marketplace portal. The app features videos, latest news and updates on Adele’s tour dates and more. So if you are a fan of the sultry singer, get your fix of her music by downloading them using the link given at the end of the post.
Official Android App for Adele – What’s On It
Well, keeping in tune with the sober notes of most of Adele’s songs, the app features sober black, grey, green tones. There are three screens, with the home page displaying a menu featuring News, Music, Videos, Community, and Live Show as navigation links.
The News Page displays official news from Adele.TV as well as Adele’s Official Twitter page. You can also interact with the singer, share her messages, heart, and like it on Facebook.
The Music Page features tracks from her albums, and you can listen to the 300 second samples while you’re there. Each song also has an interactive element, and that means you can share the sample songs on Facebook or Twitter, via email or messaging, add comments, and heart it.
The Videos Page features Adele’s music videos, performances in various shows all of course linked to YouTube. Social interaction is enabled for each individual song in this section too.
The Community Page has a wall, map, and photos of the star. This page could do with some more work though. The Live Shows Page features upcoming tour dates, but for now only displays past dates.
The second screen features Adele’s profile information. There’s an About, Albums, Photos, Favorites, and My profile section, but there isn’t much content in it that’s worth checking out.
Screen 3 features Top users, a Store where you can purchase Adele goodies, a mailing List form, and Copyright information. This page is not too bright too, and is a little disappointing, especially where the options to purchase are not really optimized for the tablet.
Since Adele is currently not on tour or releasing anything new, the activity level is low. But if she does forget about finding her true love in the next five years and sings her way to love, this app may be worth checking out. And if you do join the fan club, do spread the word that sober is not the way to go!
