TSC Music – Protect Ears While Producing Quality Sounds

February 16, 2017

So many of us use earplugs to shut out external disturbances and focus on tasks at hand. Even if we don’t have something urgent to get done, earplugs or noise-canceling headphones help us enjoy what we are listening to.

The downside to listening using these implements is possible damage to our ears. Even if you keep the volume low, the proximity with which the sound producing device emits the sound is close enough to do some damage. Pair that with the notion that once we immerse ourselves in our listening experience, we tend to forget the outside world and in turn forget to give our ears a break.

TSC Music App Review

TSC Music app

TSC Music is an app through which you can stream sounds safely. It acts like a smart equalizer. and learns how your ears work. It then uses this information to play music in such a way that your ears receive quality sounds in a way that minimizes damage.

I am not an auditory expert, but I do know the eardrums are super sensitive. If you don’t care for them, they absorb disturbances over time that culminate into possible hearing problems.

Currently, TSC is integrated with YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud. So you have a wide variety of sources to find and play music from.

As soon as you download the app, you will already sense its calming aura, which spills over into how it renders music. The wavelengths that make up the music you listen to are fine tuned in such a way that your ears are able to receive them safely and enjoy them fully.

TSC is not smart on its own, though. It needs to learn about how your ears work. You do this by going into the Sound Conditioning screen. From hear you will be instructed on what to do when the app send out sounds and asks you to make adjustments. Different types of sounds are played so that TSC knows exactly what to do when it plays different music genres.

Connecting to Your Music

Once you have completed this step, you are ready to connect to your music. This step is easy as well because TSC is fully integrated with the music streaming apps listed above. Make note that you should retest every so often to ensure that the app makes necessary adjustments for any changes to your hearing. This keeps the app fine tuned for you.

Upon this sound conditioning completion the app will provide you information for each ear, as it tests each ear separately. It gives you progress, a max and min INDEX value, and the total amount of time you have used TSC.

I really enjoyed using TSC. With the app, I found that the sound was much crisper and clearer. I also felt like there was less of a ringing sensation after I listened to music using TSC. Being a Pandora fan, I would love to see TSC support Pandora in the near future.

For now, I will fully enjoy streaming through what’s available. I know that I am doing something good for my ears.
