Best Black Friday Tech Deals 2014
Office Depot & OfficeMax Black Friday Deals 2014
Office Depot and OfficeMax are offering plenty of nice deals on a number of tablets and PCs, although Apple devices don’t figure in. The deals are definitely lower than what you see on the company website at the moment, even though the margins are not too big.
Windows Tablets
The most recently released HP Stream 7 Windows tablet is getting $20 off its already budget price of $99.99. There are also a couple of Dell Windows 8.1 tablets that are below the $200 price point.
Android Tablets
The 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Android tablet is getting $70 off its regular price and will be available for as little as $89.99. Other Samsung products getting further discounts this Black Friday include the Galaxy Tab 4 tablets going for $149.99 for the 7 inch model ( this is $30 less than the price on Samsung’s site); the 8 inch model going for $199.99 which is $40 less that the company website price and the 10.1 inch variant costing $249.99, which $70 less than the company price.
The Lenovo A10 10.1 inch tablet with a keyboard dock is also getting a price cut and if you’re keen on it you can pick it up for $199.99.
Laptops
If you’ve been eyeing a Toshiba Chromebook, Office Depot/OfficeMax is offering one with a 13.3 inch display, at $199.99. The Toshiba Satellite C55 featuring an Intel CPU, 2GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, and a 15.6-inch display is up for grabs for $159.99. HP Pavilion X2 with a 10.1-inch screen, 2GB RAM, and 32GB hard drive is at $229.99, while the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with Intel Pentium CPU, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive and 11.6-inch display is up for grabs at $369.99 ($20 less than Dell’s doorbuster deal.)
Other big laptop deals include the 17.3-inch Toshiba Satellite C750 which is on sale for $279.99 and the 17.3-inch HP Pavilion Touchsmart which is priced $399.99. Power users looking for a more beefy product can take a look at the Toshiba Satellite S55t, which is available at almost $100 less than the website price, at $599.99

Best Buy Black Friday Deals 2014
Best Buy is offering plenty of great tech discounts and you’ll especially like what they have on offer in the Apple segment. Let’s dig in.
Tablets
Best Buy has the best tablet deals for Black Friday 2014. Here’s why you’ll want to be at the store at 5 PM on Thanksgiving Day even if you don’t want to!
The doorbuster deal for the evening is the newly released iPad Air 2 which will be available for $100 less on Thanksgiving. In fact, this discount will be available on all variants of the iPad Air 2 and will be available even online. Just remember though that the quantities are limited while the rush is not!
The 16 GB new iPad Mini 3 gets $75 off its price at $324.99 through November 29th. and if you care for a spot of pre-Black Friday shopping, you can pick up the first-generation iPad Air for a discounted price.
Its not just the iPad which is getting discounts, those looking for a Microsoft Surface tablet can also be part of the festivities with $150 slashed off the Surface 2 models (doorbuster deal) while the Surface 3 tablets also gets from $100-$150 off depending on the model.
There are also a couple of Windows slates that are available at $149.99/$199.98 with or without a detachable keyboard.
As far as android tablets go, Best buy is giving away the 7 inch Asus Memo Pad for $99.99 while the 10.5 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S gets $100 off at $499.99 (32GB variant). The 8.4 inch Galaxy tab Pro looks like a particularly good deal at $199.99, which is $200 off the price on Samsung’s website. Amazon’s Kindle fire HD is also getting a discount, although this one’s just $20, but still an attractive $79.99.

- Apple’s 11 inch Macbook Air is up for grabs at $779.99, which shaves a good $120 off its usual price.
- The 13 inch Air is $150 off its regular price, at $1049.99.
- The non Retina Macbook Pro is getting $200 off its regular price and is a doorbuster deal at $899.99
- The Retina Macbook Pro is getting $150 off its usual price at $1,349.99.
- Don’t want an Apple deal? Then take a look at this early Windows doorbuster deal- a 15.6-inch Dell Inspiron for $299.99, which is almost $80 off its Black Friday offering.
- The Toshiba Radius 11 hybrid device gets a moderate $20 cut and stands at $329.99.
- The 15.6-inch HP Envy x360 gets a massive $200 off Best Buy’s regular price at $599.99.
- The 15.6-inch Radius is up for for $699.99.
- The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is priced $999.99.
- An Acer 11.6-inch Chromebook is available at just $149, which is $50 off its usual price.
Desktops
- The base 21.5 inch iMac is also seeing a huge discount of $200 at $899.99 in the doorbuster deal.
- If you want the 27 inch variant of the iMac, its available at $1,649.99, which is $150 off its usual price.
- A 21.5-inch HP All-in-One is available for $180 off its regular price at $369.99.
- The Acer Aspire 23-inch all-in-one gets $100 off at $649.99.
Apart from these, there are a few deals for traditional towers from Lenovo, HP, and Dell.
Walmart Black Friday Deals 2014
Walmart’s Black Friday Deals are not as blockbuster as we may have wanted it to be, but there is plenty for all. Here are the main highlights of the deals if you’re planning on heading there this year.
- The original iPad Mini will be available for $40 less, at $199, but you’ll also be picking up a $30 gift card to go with that purchase, should you do so. This is sadly a doorbuster deal and is available only between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
- If you haven’t ruined your Thanksgiving Dinner over that old product, this one might be tempting. At 8 P.M Thursday, the original 16GB iPad Air will be available for $397, which is almost the same price as on Apple’s website, but you get a chance to pick up a $100 Walmart gift card with that deal. Both these doorbuster deals are slightly disappointing in the light of what Best buy is offering; a new edition iPad Air 2 for $399, though you don’t pick up any bonus gift cards.
- Another doorbuster deal on 8 P.M Thursday is a HP Windows 8.1 laptop, which is just $159, $90 off its regular price.
- The 7- inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is available at $99 ( $10 more than what Office Depot is throwing)
- 8-inch Nextbook Windows 8.1 slate is also available at $99.
- The Nabi 2 (Nickelodeon Edition) kids tablet is also available at $99.
- The RCA 10.1 inch Android Slate is available for $79.
- The HP Streambook 11 is available for $199 with a $25 gift card offering.
- The Acer Aspire V5 is also available for $199, but no bonus here.
- Toshiba Satellite Radius 11 convertible laptop is at $299 (better than Best Buy’s price by $30).
