Use Nova Launcher to Get the Android Lollipop Icons and Animations on your Android
If you don’t already have Nova Launcher just head over to the Play Store to grab the free version of the app. Once installed hit the app icon to open it up to see the Material aspects in effect. You can long press and delete the options for restoring an old backup or importing from another launcher, if you see that option.
The Lollipop effects that you can see in particular include:
- Lollipop Circle Folder Animation
- Lollipop Scroll indicator
- Lollipop Icon Theme for Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Downloads, Email, Dialer, Settings and SMS
Head over to the Settings icon on the home screen and tap on Folder. Tap on Transition Animation to see the folder animation. The default view is circle, but you can set it to zoom and see an instant preview of it within the Settings screen. Similarly, head over to Settings ->Desktop -> Scroll Indicator to see the scroll indicator options. Settings -> Look and Feel -> Icon Theme to view the icon theme for Lollipop.
The update is obviously not just about the Lollipop effects, there are a few bug fixes and optimization improvements as well.
