If you want a fun way to connect with your closest pals, you got to check out Quickie. This super fun messaging app lets you quickly set up your profile by filling in your name and snapping a picture from your mobile camera. It then forces you to add up to 8 friends from your contact list.
You’ll need to be super careful who you choose because whatever you intend to share with your contacts flies off the board even before you check it out for yourself.
The Quickie screen lets you write, sketch or take photos and they are instantly sent to the contacts when you are done. If you press the camera icon on the screen, make sure you’ve got a sweet smile or an animated expression because the app will instantly snap 5 photos and display it in an animated loop. Its a surprisingly fun way to share funny, impromptu moments with your closest group of friends.
Quickie also lets you send audio messages. Just press the mic on the right side of the screen and hold it until you have completed the message. Let go, and the message is instantly sent.
Quickie aims to make conversations as near to reality as possible. It captures conversations just as they happen in real time and are automatically removed from the servers once the message is viewed. If the message is not viewed, it will disappear after 24 hours.
Quickie truly lives up to its name of being super quick with its services. Selfies and animated GIFs are created in a flash of a second and sent out even before you’ve batted your eyes.
From my short time with Quickie, I could sense how this app could easily capture the imaginations of the most creative and mischievous minds out there. Its an app that’s made for the young and the young at heart and if you want to have a bit of fun with your closest friends, Quickie is a great way to start that conversation.
The app does have issues with its SMS code verification for certain users and one hopes that the issue will be fixed QUICKLY so that everyone can get in on the action.
