Plenty of awesome Android games have been released since my last Android gaming post, so I decided to pop into the Play Store to see what’s been making noise in the gaming section. I’ve put together this list of the latest and best Android games you can check out, if you haven’t already, and there are links to some of the reviews as well, in case you want to learn more. Here goes.
Simply Best Android Games for August
Sine Mora
Don’t think twice about spending money on this mega shooter game because its rich gaming experience is worth more than its price tag. This game is set in space where a giant space ship needs to be protected from incoming phantom enemies. The game’s stunning graphics are almost console quality and a with a Story mode, an Arcade mode and epic boss battles, players should be happily engaged for hours. There are over 50 weapons combination, a time factor that can be manipulated to stay alive longer or die faster, and four difficulty levels to test your mettle. Price: $5.99
Monster Shooter : Back to Earth
This is yet another brilliant shoot em up game that comes with plenty of good gaming action for the price of free. Aliens are invading the earth and its up to the odd-looking monster hero to save the planet. There are plenty of weapons, weapon upgrades and endless shooting action. The graphics and soundtrack are simply the best and you’ll find yourself struggling to keep away from the pulsating excitement and challenge the game offers. Price: Free with a fair system of IAPs.
Tiny Thief
Released under the banner of Rovio Stars, this is a humorous point and click adventure that is played out in a story line format in a cartoon-like setting. The story revolves around the antics of a tiny thieving hero who sets out to right the wrongs of the medieval village. Like the great English hero Robinhood, tiny thief uses his clever wit to outsmart the sheriff and guards to help the downtrodden. The winning points of the game are its heady mix of wit, challenge and humor and its definitely a pleasant way to spend the day whether you are young or old. And the only regretful factor about the game is that there isn’t more. Price: $2.99
Blood Sword THD
Blood Sword is built for Tegra and SHIELD devices. It’s an RPG dungeon crawler with some superb sound effects, animation and graphics. It offers a console-like gaming experience because players can use touch controls or hook it on to their TVs and play using game controllers. Price: $0.97
Castle Clash
If you are looking for the best SIM and tower defense game that’s recently hit the Play Store, you should be checking out Castle Clash. The game offers plenty of troops to train, defense structures to establish and battles to engage in. Heroes and magic also play a role in the game. It is free to play with an IAP system that a pretty fair deal. Price: Free.
Bounty Arms
A fun adventure game where you use absurd weapons to get past enemies and battle big bosses. You will also be participating in plenty of quests and missions, pick up pets to help you achieve your objectives and have plenty of fun in the process. This visually stunning game is not available for free but if it’s a platformer your looking far, you shouldn’t look beyond this one. Price: $4.99.
Riptide GP2
If you are big on watersports, then Riptide 2 should provide you with all the heart-stopping action you’ll ever witness on water. The game features four unique events to participate in, 9 awesome upgradable hydro jets, new stunts, and a 4 way online multiplayer mode. And yes, all this means a little more money! Price: $2.99.
Respawnables
I’m finishing off this list with an awesome free game from Zynga called Respawnables. This is a third person shooter game with offline missions, multiplayer tactics, tons of killer weapons, gadgets, boosters and customization options. You will enjoy playing this in Mission or Multiplayer mode, though you may not particularly like the IAPs. Still, you can do a lot with what is available for free, so don’t miss out on this visually appealing shooter. Price: Free
