Love Disney movies? There’s good news coming to you if you own an iPhone, an iPad, or an Apple TV. Walt Disney Studios has just launched a Disney Movies app for iOS devices that will let users stream any Disney, Pixar and Marvel movies from its cloud based digital movie service. It is called Disney Movies Anywhere and it’s a one stop shop for everything Disney.

Disney Movies Anywhere lets you browse and buy from an extensive catalog of titles (over 400 of them including the recently released hit movie Frozen) as well as get access to exclusive Disney content such as previews of upcoming movies. Users will need to sign up for an account and then connect to iTunes to get access to the content. The movies are classified into genres such as Classics, Song & Dance, Disney Princesses, Disney Dogs, Muppets and so on. Users will also be able to sift and sort the movies by release dates, award winners and so on .
To celebrate the launch of the service, Disney is giving away a free digital copy of the Pixar movie “The Incredibles” for a limited time period, which is a pretty cool offer, especially if you don’t already own the movie.
With the Disney Movies Anywhere app, users can not only stream movies from its cloud based service, but can also buy movies online, manage movies bought online, and store digital copes of their Blu-ray or DVD purchases. Surprisingly movies released by Disney’s Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films will not be available via the new service.
You can also earn Disney Movie Rewards for every digital transaction you make, which you can redeem against toys, gift cards, digital stuff and Disney experiences.
There is no word yet on availability on other mobile platforms such as Android and Windows, but users will be able to access Disney Movies Anywhere via a Mac or PC, through the web browser.
