Taco Turns New Tab Page in Chrome to Task List Manager

When it comes to managing your daily activities, you just can’t seem to find the right balance. That’s why you find yourself trying out various apps and services that you hope will one day let you accomplish your daily tasks punctually, giving you some extra time to spend on yourself. Taco is a smart productivity service that is also available as a Chrome extension that just might make your hectic life a tad easy. This extension pulls together tasks that you’ve accumulated in various services you use such as Gmail, Evernote, ToDoList, Asana, and Instapaper into one tabbed dashboard so you can get an eagle eye view of your day’s events at a glance. Task List Aggregator Taco Extension for Chrome

Taco Chrome Extension works by opening up in a new tab page in Chrome. Just like how the Mexican Taco is made with a variety of fillings to create one awesome dish, Chrome’s New Tab page is filled up with tasks from various task and productivity apps to create one awesome task list manager.

To use the extension, you need to sign up with your email and password. Then you can connect all the services you use ( at present there are 40 services you can make use of , from RSS to Gmail and Zendesk. You’ll need to select a service and follow the wizard to connect the service to Taco. Once you’ve connected all the services you are using, hit the Back to Tasks button and you’ll see all the tasks lined up for later in the left side of the tabbed window.

An Up Next section at the top right of the screen lets you prioritize the order of the tasks. You just have to drag the most important task to the section and you’re ready to start the day, one task at a time. If the tasks lined up at the left are leaving you heavy hearted, you can simply tap the left most panel to hide them. Now your entire focus is only on the main task ahead. Completed tasks can be ticked off on Taco as well as on the connected service or application. You can then drag the next task for completion on to the Up Next area.

Taco Chrome Extension offers a neat clutter free interface with lots of handy features you’ll appreciate. There’s a search button to help you quickly find items in a hurry, a refresh button that you can use to check if new tasks have come in, you can print your task list to PDF, and even email the current tasks to yourself. You can also send automated email notifications of your daily task list. Taco is a smart extension that knows when you have no new updated tasks; it automatically pauses notifications in such situations. If you miss the most frequently visited sites on the new tab page, the Tools section in Taco will allow you to enable the feature.

Apart from the productivity aspect of it, Taco also offers to make your new tab page attractive with options to change themes. There is a modest collect of stunning background photos and you are free to add your own custom theme as well. You can also modify the font size, embed Google Calendar, add you own logo, add links to important sites and put up inspirational or motivational quotes in the header section.
